How are microspheres produced?
The technological process of obtaining microspheres begins at power plants, where the combustion of hard coal generates an ash-slag mixture. Next, the wet ash-slag slurry is transported to storage sites (lagoons). In contact with water, the light microsphere fractions separate from the heavier ash and slag. Thanks to a system of overflow wells, channels, and pipes, the microspheres are transported to drainage chambers, where preliminary cleaning and water filtration take place, along with the removal of natural impurities.
The next stage is the processing line, where the microspheres undergo further cleaning and drying. The final moisture content of the product (

Production in Poland and Kazakhstan
Microspheres produced in Poland and Kazakhstan
ZUMiR is one of the largest microsphere producers in Poland, sourcing and processing raw material in both Polish and Kazakh production facilities. Each year, the company processes approximately 4,000–5,000 tons of Polish microspheres and 8,000–10,000 tons of Kazakh microspheres. This enables ZUMiR to guarantee continuous supply and a wide range of product parameters, tailored to the needs of clients from various industries.
We emphasize that the microspheres offered by ZUMiR come exclusively from verified sources—Polish and Kazakh power plants—and the processing is carried out in accordance with the highest standards of quality and safety.
